Program Admission Requirements

- This program is specifically for Licensed Practical and Licensed Vocational Nurses who have graduated from an approved Practical Nurse program and have an active, unencumbered license in a program approved state or eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland.
*Applicants are expected to be competent in the skills required to be considered for admission to the LPN-RN Online program.
The nursing program is designed to be completed in 18 months or less after meeting general education course requirements. It is understood that applicants who receive offers of admission will commence nursing courses immediately and continue year round completing nursing courses in consecutive semesters to meet the 18 month completion requirement. - Applicants must meet specific requirements to apply and be considered for admissions.
- All applicants to the LPN-RN Online program who have met the standing criteria are admitted on a space available basis, ranked according to GPA and scores on the LPN-RN Online Entrance exam.
- Students accepted into the LPN-RN Online program will need to complete additional requirements prior to beginning the pre-requisite Online Nursing Transition Bridge Course.
- Once admitted to the LPN-RN Online Nursing Program, students must Satisfactorily complete the pre-requisite Online LPN-RN Nursing Bridge Course.
- Once admitted to the LPN-RN Online Nursing Program students will follow the curriculum schedule for Associate of Science Degree at ACM to become eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-RN exam.
- Students in the LPN-RN Online Program will adhere to the Nursing Policies Handbook.
- Applicants with few or no college credits should refer to the information booklet regarding placement testing.

(Nursing Application and Supporting Documents listed in Step 4 of Admission Process) Letters of eligibility for entrance exam will be mailed 6-8 weeks after the deadline closes. We request applicants do NOT call regarding their acceptance, as this further delays the evaluation process.
