We know that attending college is a huge commitment of time and resources. But at Allegany College of Maryland, we offer high-quality education and career training coursework at the fraction of the cost of four-year colleges and universities. By making us your college of choice for your first year or two while you stay home, you'll actually save money as you take advantage of our lower tuition rates. And because we believe in investing in our students, we proudly awarded over $24 million in financial aid and over $800,000 in in-house scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year.  Through our 250 in-house available scholarships, you may have a chance to receive up to 3 scholarships or $2,500 annually to assist with your tuition costs.

With over 100 career and transfer programs from which to choose, our college offers you the chance to join our many satisfied students and alumni.

  • An overwhelming 99% of our graduates were found to be satisfied with their preparation for employment.

  • Currently, 98% of our transfer students were found to be satisfied with their preparation for transfer to other colleges or universities. And did you know that statistics show that community college transfer students perform as well or better than students who began their studies at a four year college or university? Knowing that, now's the perfect time to consider our college for your first two years of study.
