Allegany College of Maryland Libraries
Imagine a library that welcomes you. At Allegany College of Maryland, our librarians and staff encourage your questions and help guide you in the right direction - whether it's a book from our traditional stacks and special collections at the Donald L. Alexander Library in Cumberland, including our renowned Appalachian Collection, or information from an online database. We can also help you order books from other libraries in Maryland through the interlibrary loan system, and show you how to access online databases off-campus so you can conduct research at home.
The Donald L. Alexander Library on the Cumberland Campus features comfortable seating for impromptu conversations with a classmate, tables and desks for working on projects, and study rooms where you can find the quiet you desire to complete your work. We also feature smaller libraries at our Somerset and Bedford County Campuses.
