Accessible
Locations, Attractive Settings
The scenic central Appalachian mountains are our home. Lush forests,
tranquil lakes, languid rivers and rushing streams. Green ridge
after green ridge.
Our mid-Atlantic location puts us within ready reach of millions
of Americans. We’re an easy drive from populous and growing
areas to our east, north and south.
Yet we’re far away in other respects. We offer the best of
both worlds. Learning in an unhurried, personalized environment.
Far enough from distractions, yet near enough to travel easily to
and from home.
Our three campus locations — in a suburban setting of Cumberland,
Md., the seat of Allegany County, and in Somerset County, just east
of Somerset, Pa., and Bedford County, in Everett, Pa., — are
along interstates and major highways, affording easy north-south
and eastwest access.
The Cumberland campus, established in 1969 encompasses 311 suburban
acres. The campus features 12 major buildings which provide modern
facilities for approximately 3,700 credit students and approximately
11,700 continuing education students. The buildings are located
close together, making back-to-back class scheduling convenient.
The Bedford and Somerset County campuses offer a full schedule
of day and evening classes. Admissions, registration and student
support services are available on site. |

Student
Housing
Revolutionary news at Allegany College of Maryland: We've gone
residential with student housing at Willowbrook Woods. The residential
complex features accommodations for 236 students, in five garden-style
apartment buildings. Although the property is privately owned, it
is managed by the College. It’s an attractive community, with
a central courtyard, located adjacent to our Cumberland Campus.
It’s also a fun place to live. A student club house and a
courtyard keep the good times rolling!
