ARTSYS was developed by the University System of Maryland to provide information on the transferability of Maryland community college courses to all public four-year colleges and universities and to most private colleges. In addition to being able to look up individual courses, students may us ARTSYS to obtain lists of courses in recommended transfer programs (RTP). The following colleges participate in ARTSYS:

is not listed as transferring, it may not have been evaluated for inclusion

The Academic Common Market is an agreement among 15 southern states including Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. The agreement provides students with the opportunity to complete majors, not offered in their home state, at colleges or universities in another state and to pay in-state tuition. For more details, visit the Academic Common Market website; click on Search for Programs to determine eligible majors.
Online education makes it possible for Allegany College of Maryland students to continue their education. Students can earn a baccalaureate degree or a certificate on-line by attending classes at any time of day, in any place the students choose. Students can complete course work without setting foot in a classroom because they communicate with their classes online. Many four-year universities allow students to complete entire degrees or portions of degree programs on-line.

University of Phoenix
The University of Phoenix undergraduate programs are developed in cooperation
with business and industry leaders, so that students learn only the most
current business methods and practices. Courses last 5-6 weeks and are
taken one at a time to ensure students truly learn the subject matter.
University of Phoenix has established several articulated programs with Allegany College of Maryland that lead to bachelor’s degrees in Business, Nursing, and Information Technology.

Transfer Scholarship Guide for MD Community College Students
This guide assists transfer students in identifying and obtaining scholarships at four-year institutions and is produced by the Maryland Community College Financial Aid Directors with support from Sallie Mae, Inc., and cooperation from the Office of Student Financial Assistance (Maryland Higher Education Commission), and Maryland Association of Community Colleges. The information in the guide was provided by four-year institutions and is subject to change. If a school is not listed in the guide, contact the Admissions or Financial Aid Office at that school directly to ask about transfer scholarships.

Goldwater Scholarship
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education
Program was established by Congress in 1986 to honor Senator Barry M.
Goldwater, who served his country for 56 years as a soldier and statesman,
including 30 years of service in the U.S. Senate. The purpose of the Foundation
is to provide a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians,
and engineers by awarding scholarships to college students who intend
to pursue careers in these fields.
Frostburg
State University Scholarships
Frostburg State University offers a variety of institutional
and departmental scholarships. The amounts of these awards vary, and each
has its own set of requirements that a student must meet in order to be
eligible. Several scholarships are for transfer students only and a few
are specifically for Allegany College of Maryland transfer students.
Jack
Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarships
The mission of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is to help
young people of exceptional promise reach their full potential through
education. They focus in particular on scholarships for outstanding
individuals with financial need. Undergraduate
Transfer This program awards scholarships worth up to $30,000 each
to students and recent alumni from community colleges or two-year
institutions who will pursue bachelor's degrees at four-year
institutions.
University System of Maryland - Regents Scholarships - for the following institutions: University of Maryland, Baltimore (Professional Schools); University of Maryland, College Park; Bowie State University; Towson University; University of Maryland Eastern Shore; Coppin State College; Frostburg State University; Salisbury University; University of Baltimore; University of Maryland University College; University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
Representatives from colleges and universities come to the ACM campuses to speak to students throughout the school year. Each campus maintains a schedule of these visits.
In addition, each campus hosts Transfer Advisement Days where a variety
of college representatives meet with interested students. For information
