The Student Success Center or SSC serves as a resource for students and faculty by providing a wide range of services that assist students in becoming active, independent, life-long learners and provide faculty with support services.

 

The Testing Lab of the SSC offers:
Placement Assessment - a computerized assessment of academic skills that is given to incoming students.

Classroom Testing - testing in a more relaxed atmosphere.

• Testing requiring extended time
• Make-up testing
• Special accommodations for student with disabilities

• Peer Tutoring - One-on-one review
• Study Labs - Small group study sessions
• Mathematics
• Science
• Writing

• Selecting a transfer college or university.
• Determining the appropriate courses to complete.
• Completing the application process to a four-year college or university.

Career Advising assists students in the selection of a major field of study through self-assessment interests, values, aptitudes, and personality type surveys.

The SSC Staff works with the Disabled Student Services Coordinator to provide appropriate special accommodations for students. Students must meet with the Coordinator prior to requesting services.
