JMU
considers any student who has completed or is in the process of completing one
year of college academic work or
24 credits to be a transfer student.
To apply for admission,
a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is required; however, a B grade point average (3.0) is recommended. JMU will transfer in a maximum of 60
credits, which will be
evaluated on a course by course basis.
Only courses with a C or better will be considered for transfer.
SAT or ACT scores are required for students with
fewer than 30 transferable credits along
with a list of academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and a
personal statement.
