Allegany College of Maryland Takes the Initiative for Volunteer Experience

As a part of the educational experience, Allegany College of Maryland in partnership with AmeriCorps, the Volunteer Center of Allegany County, and other community agencies offers its students an opportunity to volunteer to help others. Volunteering can provide students an opportunity to get to know the community, to become involved in the community, and to give back to the community. In addition, students have the chance to explore career interests by volunteering at various agencies. Students may volunteer a few hours a year, one or two times a semester, or several hours each week. Just a few hours may make a difference in someone’s life.

Volunteer sites are available for students attending the Bedford County, Cumberland, and Somerset County Campuses.
