Allegany College of Maryland

Allegany College of Maryland provides quality educational programs, training and services at reasonable cost in a convenient, comfortable environment. The College is dedicated to excellence and is responsive to meeting the present and future needs of its students and community. The faculty, staff, and trustees of the College are committed to providing personal attention to those they serve.

The mission for Allegany College of Maryland campuses in Pennsylvania is to provide geographical, academic, and financial access to higher education for the citizens of Bedford and Somerset Counties, as well as areas in the Southern Alleghenies region.

The boards of county commissioners, the college foundation boards, the college advisory boards, and the communities believe the future of these counties is in many ways directly dependent upon the education and training of its citizens in developing a workforce to retain and recruit business and industry.

The philosophy is to provide opportunities to anyone who can benefit from post-secondary education and to promote the success of these individuals by providing a quality and relevant education at a reasonable cost and a convenient location.
