Healing Environments are Effective by...

  • Capture... Energy, balance and harmony of nature in a defined space
  • Use... All five senses, especially sound, to promote relaxation and stress reduction
  • Provide... A space which reflects peace and tranquility

 

The Serenity Room will serve as a centralized, regional depository for health promotion and wellness resources that may be obtained on loan through the Allegany College of Maryland Library system.


Funding for the Serenity Room was made possible from the "2+2+2 Health Promotion and Wellness Partnership Project" grant number 5 D37HP00711 03 from the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration, and the Bureau of Health Professions, Spring 2002
