Why take the courses for a "Letter
of Recognition"?
A "Letter of Recognition" will be awarded to students
who successfully complete the 11 hours of coursework listed
below. The "Letter of Recognition" offers students
a competitive edge in employment, develops their career portfolios,
and provides documented proficiency in coursework which is helpful
for specialization, further study at four-year institutions,
or upward mobility within employment settings.

What skills does a Integrative Health "Letter
of Recognition" provide?
Five core skill/objectives are integrated into all courses
(in addition to content-specific course objectives for each
individual course.) Students will:
- Apply Integrative Health philosophy and principles to practice.
- Identify "gold standard" research that is the
foundation for integrative health practices.
- Demonstrate basic skills in "whole person care."
- Demonstrate basic self-care skills to enhance workforce
and personal wellness.
- Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team to address
health-care issues from a mind-body perspective.
