Contact the Student Success Center
The Student Success Center works with all departments on the Cumberland Campus and at the branch campuses to assist students with special needs. Since information regarding a student's disability is not requested through the admission process, it is the student's responsibility to contact the SSC by calling (301) 784-5551. Students attending the Bedford County Campus should call (814) 445-9848 and those attending the Somerset County Campus should call (814) 445-8050. Students are also welcome to visit the SSC in the Humanities Building, Room 58. Students with disabilities are encouraged to discuss their special needs with college personnel as early as possible. This will give the staff sufficient time to respond to requests for assistance as well as giving students an opportunity to become familiar with available services. Contact your local Vocational Rehabilitation Services OfficeSpecial needs students should contact their local Department of Vocational Support Services Office to discuss eligibility for support services. The Allegany County office may be contacted by calling (301) 777-2119. Students in Somerset County may be contact the Johnstown Regional Office (toll-free from Pennsylvania, 800-7621-4223) while Bedford County students should contact the Altoona Office (from Pennsylvania, 800-422-6343).
