Admission
Salem-International
University classifies any person who has attended another post-secondary institution to be a transfer student. To be considered for admission, transfer students must be in good academic and social
standing. Students with fewer than 24 transferable academic credit hours will be required
to submit high school transcripts and ACT or SAT test scores.

The maximum number of credits transferable from a
community college varies. Only courses in which the student has earned a C or better
and which are applicable to a program at
SIU will transfer. Students
who have completed an associate of arts or associate of science degree at ACM will need to take
only three international core courses and the equivalent of two semesters of a foreign
language to complete Salem’s general education
requirements.
