Please be sure to complete your 2009-2010 ACM Financial Aid Application available only from our Website.  (www.allegany.edu/finaid)  The ACM (Allegany College of Maryland) Financial Aid Application is different than the FAFSA and must be completed by all ACM financial aid applicants.

Important Financial Aid Change

Paper FAFSAs will no longer be distributed to schools.  Students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA on the Web Worksheet (FOTW) to assist them in completing the on-line application (www.fafsa.ed.gov).  The worksheet is available in the Student Financial Aid Office or in the high school guidance counselors’ offices.

Students who want to complete the paper FAFSA may call the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID to request the paper application or download a PDF paper FAFSA at www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov.  This PDF version can be completed on the computer and printed, or printed and completed by hand, and then mailed to the address provided.

Students will need their U.S. Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN) to complete the FAFSA on the Web.  The PIN serves as the student signature for electronic documents.  To apply for a PIN, students (and parents if the student is dependent for financial aid purposes) should go to the following website:  www.pin.ed.gov

If a student or parent has lost or forgotten the PIN, a duplicate PIN can be requested at www.pin.ed.gov  by selecting the option “Request a Duplicate PIN.”
