Why Should I.... Take Allegany College of Maryland Courses While I'm In High School?

  1. EARN YOUR COLLEGE DEGREE IN A SHORTER AMOUNT OF TIME. Many students take several Allegany College of Maryland courses during their junior and senior years in high school. When they graduate from high school, they will have completed classes toward their college degree.
  2. THE SAVINGS!!! Early College students receive a discount of 50% off the regular tuition rate.
  3. ALLEGANY COLLEGE OF MARYLAND COURSES ARE TRANSFERABLE. Allegany College of Maryland offers the opportunity for students to complete the first two years of Bachelor's degree programs offered at many four-year colleges and universities. Therefore, the Allegany College of Maryland courses you take in high school will allow you to start an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree!! Beginning the Process.... It's Easy!

  1. Complete our College Application, which may be obtained from either your guidance counselor or the Allegany College of Maryland Admissions Office.
  2. Submit the required Early College Permission Letter, which is available through your guidance office.
  3. Send application, permission letter, and an official copy of your high school transcript to:

*Tuition subsidy: In addition to the Early College Tuition Discount, PA residents attending classes at either PA Campus receive a tuition subsidy from the State of Pennsylvania, which reduces tuition further.  This rate is calculated each semester based on funding from the State and is subject to change.
