- Must be accepted into an entry-level dental hygiene program
in U.S.
- Be a full-time, entry level student during the academic year

- Show evidence of community service, leadership, and/or extra-curricular
activities
- Have a minimum high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0
scale)
- Have a minimum 3.0 in natural science courses.
- Or have a minimum college cumulative 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
if you have completed any pre-dental hygiene college course work
Maryland Dental Hygienists' Association Scholarship
- Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in Maryland for at least
3 years
- Must have a GPA in dental hygiene curriculum of at least 3.0
(on a 4.0 scale)
- State financial aid
- Be a S.A.D.H.A. member
- Must have completed on year in dental hygiene curriculum by
May
- Plan to practice in Maryland after graduation
