I have been teaching at Allegany
College of Maryland since
August
of 2001. Prior to this teaching
position with the |
College,
I taught with several West Virginia public school |
systems
as a classroom teacher, a special educator, and |
a
reading specialist. I can honestly
say that I looked forward |
to
each and every day in the classroom.
I received a tremendous |
amount
of personal and professional satisfaction from working |
with
children, particularly those who were “at-risk” or had |
special
needs. It was a very difficult
decision for me to |
“leave
the kids behind” to begin work at the College. However, |
I
now find that working with young adults who are going to be |
teachers
is just as rewarding! |
