This
transfer pattern is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year
college or university with a major in education but are uncertain as to the
transfer institution. The courses included in this program closely parallel the
first two years of an education major at many four-year institutions.
Please
note: Allegany College of Maryland is in the application process for an
Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) in Secondary Education. The AAT degree will
facilitate the transfer process for Maryland students at two-year institutions
who wish to complete their course of study at a Maryland four-year institution.
The AAT curriculum and requirements will be substantively different than the
curricula and requirements for the Secondary Education transfer program. Please
consult your adviser or the Teacher Education Director for further information
and curriculum planning.
This is a
transfer program and is designed to enable students to transfer to a four-year
college or university. Check with your advisor and the Student Support Center
as soon as possible to ensure specific course transferability.
Successful
completion of this program qualifies a student to apply for an Associate in
Science degree in Arts and Sciences.
