Cardiopulmonary Assessment and Diagnostics- 4 semester hours Offered
third semester. Three hours lecture and two hours laboratory a week. Fee: $65.00.
This course will cover a variety of diagnostic testing procedures performed on
respiratory care patients. The student will learn a systematic approach towards
problem solving, analysis, and application of clinical data. There will be an
emphasis on refining test taking skills, in order to prepare the students for
NBRC examinations. Computer simulations, along with lab practicals will be utilized.
ACLS guidelines and procedures will also be covered in the labs. Prerequisite:
Biological Science 201; Mathematics 102; RT 101, 102, and 206. Corequisite: RT
