250 Clinical Practice IV- 5 semester hours
Offered fourth semester. Four hours of lecture, seminar, emonstration, and laboratory a week. Clinical time will total 284 preceptor hours. Fee: $100.00.

This course will expose the student to all areas of clinical practice in a respiratory care department. Clinical rotations in neonatal intensive care and pediatric nursing units will be provided. Critical care procedures introduced in RT 225 will be developed along with a discussion of renal and peritoneal dialysis. The emphasis will be on patient assessment and selection of appropriate therapeutic interventions. If time allows, a curriculum review will be provided.

Prerequisite: RT 101, RT 102, RT 190, RT 206, RT 210, RT 211, RT 212, and RT 225. Corequisite: RT 240.
