ADMISSION WITH ADVANCED STANDING
PARAMEDIC TO RN
  1. Successful completion of the prerequisite courses, general education, and program requirement courses with a minimum GPA of 2.50;
  2. Two years full-time employment as a paramedic;
  3. Unencumbered Maryland paramedic certification and National Board of Registry certification (MREMTP).  Applicants must be graduates of a program accredited by either CAAHEF or the Maryland EMS Board;
  4. Submit three letters of recommendation;
  5. Completion of NURN 006 (CCBC Online course) Dosage for Advanced Placement Nursing; The most competitive applicants will be invited to participate in an interview.
  6. Once admitted to the Nursing Program, students will follow the curriculum schedule for Associate of Science Degree Daytime or Evening, as appropriate.
  7. Students must be CPR certified in the Health Care Provider/Course C and maintain this certification throughout all nursing courses.  This certification must be completed prior to entering Nursing clinical courses.
