This certificate program provides MLT graduates or a graduate with a B.S. degree from an accredited institution with the opportunity to retrain in new biotechnology techniques. The program allows the traditional MLT to increase their marketability by diversifying their scientific skills to include genetic and environmental testing. The program is also designed to update a former graduate of a baccalaureate science program, which did not include the newer techniques. This would update his/her skills for the current job market. The program begins in the spring semester. Successful completion of this program qualifies the student to apply for a Certificate in Biotechnology. Curriculum
* Environmental Science Elective is recommended
