PROFESSIONAL DESCRIPTION These programs at Allegany College of Maryland are designed
for the student wanting to obtain technical skills in a field and enter
the job market quickly or for students wanting to gain entry into an allied
health program at the college. These certificate programs offer numerous
options that include: Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, Nursing Assistant/Geriatric
Aide, and Pharmacy Technician. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES After completion of a program, the following job opportunities may be available:
PROGRAM AFFILIATIONS Students spend varied clinical hours, depending on the concentration area, in area pharmacies, nursing homes, and hospitals for clinical sites. The clinical site will be determined by which area of concentration the student has chosen.
