The Forestry Program is about options! You don’t need to decide right now which Forestry path to take. Talk to a forestry advisor first. There are four general rules that the forestry faculty adhere to regarding your education. Read this first before you click on “Forestry Programs” at the bottom.

RULE 1: Education Gives You Options!
The more education, the more career choices, and probably the more money you will earn (but not necessarily).

RULE 2: Nothing great can be achieved without enthusiasm!
Ralph Waldo Emerson said this and it is true. If you are in forestry you have to love being outside; you have to care about the environment; you have to get excited about working and studying hard, getting dirty, and “playing” on computers.

RULE 3: Students and Faculty are in this together!
We are in class together all the time. The faculty have expectations that are high to insure your success in the career you choose. Forestry education is our life and it has to become your life too.

RULE 4: Go Away (But keep in touch)!
As you will see from our alumni section we admire and respect our student. Upon completion of your degree find a challenging job in an area you always wanted to live. Experiences help you grow and appreciate where (and what) you came from. We have graduates scattered throughout the country-and as far away as in Japan. Together we change your life so you can change the world.
