Certification for administrative assistants is available through the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). The Certified Professional Secretary® and the Certified Administrative Professional® are both offered through this organization. More information about these certifications can be obtained by visiting the IAAP website.

Additionally, students who successfully complete this program would have the skills necessary to attempt the Microsoft Office Specialist exam in Word, Excel, and/or Access. These exams are used to assess how well individuals know the Microsoft Office software packages. This certification is a globally recognized standard for demonstrating desktop skills.
