EDUCATION/ELEMENTARY PREPARATION FOR TRANSFER

This curriculum is specifically designed for students majoring in Elementary Education (grades 1-6 and middle school) and transferring to Frostburg State University. This curriculum has been designed in cooperation with officials at Frostburg State University to satisfy the freshman and sophomore year requirements of this major. Students interested in transferring to any other college or university (other than Frostburg) would be better served by the General Studies Curriculum or the University Studies Curriculum. Students majoring in secondary education would be better served by the Secondary Education Curriculum. The AAT degree will facilitates the transfer process for Maryland students at two-year institutions who wish to complete their course of study at a Maryland four-year institution. Please consult your advisor or the Teacher Education Director for further information and curriculum planning. Education majors please note: most or substantially all four-year receiving institutions require that education majors receive a grade of "C" or better in all education classes that are to be considered for transfer of college credits.

Successful completion of this program qualifies a student to apply for an Associate in Science Degree in Teacher Education.
