Student lockers are located in the the hall across from Student Services Office. Please contact Ms. Denise Bouch in the Information Office. Lockers are assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. There is a $5.00 per semester fee and the student must supply their own lock.
What does it mean to be a full-time student?

Student are considered "full-time" if they enroll in twelve or more credit hours a semester. (Students taking fewer than twelve credit hours in a semester are classified as "part-time.")
What is a credit hour?

The credit hour is a unit of measure for determining how much time a student spends in class. Generally, during a 15-week semester, each credit hour means a student will spend 50 minutes per week in class. For example a 3-credit class requires a student to spend 150 minute in class each week. Exceptions include laboratory and clinical sections and physical education classes.
What is a curriculum?

A curriculum is a program of study leading to a degree or certificate. The College Catalog lists various programs of study in different majors or areas of emphasis consisting of particular courses and electives. Completion of the courses in a particular curriculum is one of the requirements for graduation.

How much time must I spend for a course in addition to time spent in the classroom (homework, class preparation, etc)?

In general, for every hour spent in the classroom, students should spend a minimum of two hours in outside work. Therefore, students enrolled in 12 hours will be spending at least 24 hours in study outside the classroom for their courses. However, it is important to realize that courses vary in both the degree of difficulty and the policies of the instructor.

What time sequences do classes follow?

Most classes follow either Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (MWF) sequence or a Tuesday and Thursday (T,R) sequence. Therefore, a three-credit course in the MWF sequence would meet 50 minutes on each of the three days (at the same time each day), whereas a three-credit course would meet for 75 minutes on a Tuesday and Thursday sequence (at the same time each of these days.) A three-credit course scheduled to meet once a week will meet for 150 minutes.
Does the College have an attendance policy?

Student attendance requirements are established by each individual instructor and are set forth in the course syllabus. In general, students are expected to attend every class session except in case of an emergency.
Can an instructor drop me from a class due to lack of attendance?
Yes, when the number of student's absences is such that the instructor believes that the student cannot successfully complete the course in the time remaining, the instructor may drop the student from the class roll. If the student is dropped after the mid point of the course, a grade of "F" will be recorded.

What is a "prerequisite?"

A prerequisite is a course which is basic to others which follow it in a given discipline. A course for which there is a prerequisite cannot be taken until the prerequisite itself is satisfactorily completed.
