Bedford County Campus

Admission to Allegany College of Maryland

The admission process is straightforward.

A diploma (or its equivalent(GED)) from an accredited high school is all that is required. (Exceptions are made for adults who lack a diploma, but show the ability to benefit from college-level study.)

Complete the free application.

If you are seeking enrollment in a degree or certificate program you will need to provide official transcripts of previous high school and/or college work. You can complete the free application online or at the campus.
For more information please view the Admissions and Registration website.

Schedule the Placement test.

The placement test is a diagnostic tool used to assure that students are enrolled in courses at an appropriate level. The placement test consists of three components: English, Reading, and Math. Contact Student Services to schedule a testing date and time. Please call Mary Ann Clark at 814-652-9528 extension 6204 or e-mail mclark@allegany.edu

Students 16 and older can be accepted for regular admission to the college.

If you are a junior or senior in High School please check out the Early College Program.
